International Workshop Interactive Systems & Information Society Technologies (InterSys2023) is a joint event held by the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR, Curitiba, Brazil) via IHC Research Group, BITS Pilani (Dubai Campus) and ITMO University (St. Petersburg, Russia) on June 26-28, 2023 as a part of the International Conference Internet and Modern Society (IMS-2023).
The IMS event is supported by the International Journal of Open Information Technologies (INJOIT, Russia) and has collaboration with the Journal of Interactive Systems (JIS, Brazil) for receiving extended and revised submissions of selected papers.
The goal of the InterSys2023 workshop is to discuss to the problems of interactive technologies development in the digital environment (science, education, healthcare, business, public administration and civil society).
The key topics of the workshop are the following:
- Human Computer Interaction in Business, Culture, Education, E-Government, Healthcare & Science
- Information Society Technologies: Government – Business – Citizens
- User Experience (UX) and Subjective Perception of Human-Computer Interfaces
- Human-Computer Vision and Image-Based UI Analysis
- Human Values and Culture in Digital Environment
- Gamification and Active Learning in IT

PROCEEDINGS
All submitted papers and abstracts will undergo double-anonymous peer review by the Program Committee.
The accepted and presented papers will be included in the InterSys2023 Proceedings, which will be sent to CEUR-WS for publishing and indexing in Scopus and DBLP. The authors of the best papers will be invited to submit significantly extended versions of their work in the Journal of Interactive Systems (index by DOAJ, Qualis B1) or the International Journal of Open Information Technologies (approved by the Russian Higher Attestation Commission).
SUBMISSION
To participate in the InterSys2023, the authors may submit regular papers (10-12 pages, including References), short papers (5-9 pages, including references) or abstracts (300-500 words), in English.
- Papers must be prepared using new CEUR-style template.
- Abstracts are not intended for publication (presentation only).
- All submissions to the InterSys2023 workshop must be done via the EasyChair system (https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=ims2023).
- To be accepted to the workshop, a paper/abstract must be original, not published anywhere else before and not being under review.
- The authors of accepted papers and abstracts will be invited to present their work in the workshop.
IMPORTANT DATES
15 April 2023 – Hard deadline for Paper Submission to the EasyChair;
30 April – Paper Acceptance Notification;
10 May – Camera-ready papers submissions;
20 May – Early registration of participants with payment of registration fee;
20 May – Workshop Program Draft.
PARTICIPATION FEES
The registration fees are defined and collected by the respective representatives of the hosting universities. For the Federal University of Paraná there will be no fees for attending the workshop only. For attending the whole IMS conference, please, visit their website.
The workshop sessions will be hosted by the Federal University of Paraná (Curitiba, Brazil), ITMO University (St. Petersburg, Russia) and BITS Pilani (Dubai Campus).
It is planned to hold the workshop in a mixed mode – both in face-to-face format and with the use of online sessions. Not showing up at the conference will automatically lead to the exclusion of the paper from IMS Proceedings and the workshop program.
