This course is based on the previous talk and covers the additional challenges created by cross organizational collaboration in terms of data access, provenance and lifetime support for produced information. The talk will focus on three examples namely (1) “Big Simulation Research Project” and the specific challenges of a research collaboration of several research groups that work together for a limited time and typically produce a very large amount of data, (2) “Virtual Laboratory”, based on a former European Research Project VIROLAB a collaboration in the field of medical data, simulation and analytics is used to explain in particular the challenges that emerge with data with specific data confidentiality and regulatory constraints. As third example a university research group that is using local and remote research infrastructure as part of their research and education activities is used as an example for a continuous activity in contrast to the more project and time limited nature of the previous two use cases.
